12 p.m. – Sand sculpting begins on New London’s Waterfront Park with chance for young people to participate

12 p.m. – Monster Mural For Kids

12 p.m. – Made in Connecticut Displays

2 p.m. Up to 20 schooners arrive at City Pier and are available for viewing.

All Day – Plein Air Painting Competition 

2:30 p.m. – Welcome Ceremony on Waterfront

2 p.m. – Chief Petty Officer Pinning Ceremony

3 p.m. – Schooners captains honored at Coast Guard Academy – (As part of ceremony Navy Chief Petty Officer Pinning ceremony)

4. p.m.—10 p.m. A variety of waterfront activities, including: Monster Mural for kids

6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – John Fries Band

8 p.m. – Soul Sound Revue

8:30 p.m. — 9:30 p.m. (approx) Lighted boat parade leaves the Thames Yacht Club and continues to a point just beyond City Pier where the boats turn and return downriver. Best viewing points: Waterfront Park, Fort Trumbull State Park.
